Welcome to the forums bimuyu! :hi:

That is nice, but I don't quite get it. It gives the same stuff with any Url. Or do you mean the ads themselves?

No Doug, If you enter your url it will show a selection of ads that Google's algo will be most likely to put up on your site should you decide to subscribe to "adsense". I am trying it out now but am quite disappointed as it seems G. only takes notice of your home page and NOT the page you submit.

I submitted my exercise page - thinking I might get say yoga or fitness, or tai chi sites say, but instead got 4 sites taking visitors direct to my competitors websites. NOT what I wanted at all!*!. Have still not got a reply back from G. on my complaint regarding this.

If I do not hear anything within a week I will be taking it down.

Oh, I see.

So Greg, do you mean Google is not looking at the individual page, or this tool is not looking? There is a difference.

Google looks at the individual pages. It takes a little while for Adsense to spider the site, but the ads are targeted to the page.

Greg, if you login to your AdSense customer account, and click on the link called Advanced, you can enter the URLs of upto 200 sites (advertsiers) whose ads you do not want to see on your own site. Try using this - it does not kick in immediately so give it a few hours before you check again.

Thanks for the suggestion Manisha, I had already gone in to that section and found no sites listed whatever that I could exclude. I sent a standard request form to G. from there asking if they could please relate the ads to the theme of that page. Will see what happens.

Funny thing though - my acounts section shows I have already earned almost enough to buy an ice cream in just 7 days. :D Whoopee!!

Will I allow myself to be corrupted by the god of mammon?

Greg,

Google will not list the sites that you can exclude for you. You have to note the URLs of sites that you want to exclude and then enter them manually in that textbox. You won't get any help from Google in determining which sites you should exclude. :)

Yes...just mouse over the ads you don't like and it will spell out those URL's on your bottom status bar. (Or you can click on the rotten ad...LOL...and maybe make an extra 50 cents)

I even just went on Google itself for our keywords and made note of all the ads that came up there...added those URLS to the list.

I do think it somewhat targets each page though. On the front page of the pawn shop site it kept throwing up our Rolex competition. But on the Myrtle Beach information pages, it was throwing up the same ads as it does on the condo site...which is completely location locked.

I tried the tool, and got 4 skyscraper ads that were all looking for donations. Our web site is for weather. Any idea what the connection is?

It shows public service ads until they have spidered your site and approved it.

It feels great to help someone ELSE for a change!!! LOL!

By the way, my ads are averaging a solid $15 a day...and these
are not the busiest sites in the world, either!
