My AdSense ads are displayed on mostly dynamic pages, on a forum like this. I have a lot of hosting adverts displayed, I guess because I have 'hosted by....' in my forum footer. My question is if I add a comment tag in my footer (<!--) and fill it with keywords, will it affect the ads displayed by AdSense?

Hi Bob, Google would probably disallow you from displaying their ads. They ignore comment tags anyway, but I'm very sure if they found out you are basically spamming your content, they would not think too highly of it. :)

Ok, I would only be entering my forum titles in there because it's not picking them up, not trying to fool it in any way. I guess there's no point if it doesn't look in the comment tags.

I may just add a list of forums in the footer somewhere to see if it helps. Thanks for the reply :)

I would remove the words "hosted by".

You could try writing them in JavaScript, or encoding them...

& #104 ; & #111 ; & #115 ; & #116 ; & #101 ; & #100 ;

without any spaces in, that says "hosted" ;)

It wont be good idea in case they review your account. I would suggest to play safe and find an alternative way to achive the same results.

The question is why? Are you getting bad results from AdSense using this strategy, or do you just have an eversion to web hosting?

I would not recommend changing too much, cause you may just end up with more charity ads. Think hard b4 making any radical changes.
