Hi
This is the first time I have posted on this particular forum. I am trying to decide on the affiliates script, which is my reason for this thread. The script would be used to set up an "affiliates" system for marketing my e-book, now described at http://linux2-cs.johnabbott.qc.ca/~ed (a work site for developing the book). The book is called "Searching the Internet to the Max."
I am in the process of setting up some arrangements with:
- a web hosting company (RealityHosting.com, in Ontario, Canada), for advertising, an affiliates script, and possibly a membership script, as well as for initiating orders;
- a content host for my e-book's PDF file (likely one in the UK), linked to for downloading the e-book;
- an e-commerce host, Paypal, or, more likely, Paysystems.
What do you think of the script supplied at http://www.vixne.com/affiliatenet.html? Also, do you have any opinions on which e-commerce site I might use, starting with the two I mentioned, but possibly including others?
For those who have heard of my book before, say, on other forums at this site, please reexamine the 3 versions of the book now proposed, along with how they might be marketed. What do you think of this approach to packaging the materials? (I realize that I forgot to mention that the printed version is about 600 pages.)
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Ed
