Overture - Yahoo Early Returns are In

Early rumors have it that clients of Overture are experiencing double the hits now and also double the expense. A few rumors are saying that this is NOT equating to double the sales. Gee, I wonder why. ;)

You do have to give Yahoo credit for labeling the paid listings as "Sponsor Sites." I read that they have the option of renewing in April and this is just a trial. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Very true. The higher costs associated with the many more clicks and higher bids will run many owners out of the picture now. Not to mention that sales conversions coming from a Yahoo searcher would have to be lower, simply from, well, the searcher is using Yahoo. :)
