What is the best way to track adwords clickthrough visitors? I see in my account statement on google that there are some clickthroughs, but I am not sure what referrer URL to look out for, on my web server log file analyzer (webtrends).
Any clues?

Google allows you to define a tracking URL for each ad. You can simply add something like ?firstad to the end of the URL and then you will see the unique referrers in your log. However, the tracking URL is what your visitor will see in his/her address bar, so getting a tracking solution that converts tracking urls to regular URLs would be "cleaner".

If it's from google.com, the referral url will be the same as that for "free" search results. (ie. something like www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=my+keyword)
If it's an adsense partner, it will have googlesyndication.com in the referring url.
If it's a google search partner, the referrer will be the partners domain.
Hope this helps.
