At last, the edit system is completed. The editors are happy with it, and have been testing it out over the past few days. They will begin to shift submissions into the index over the weekend. We have now over 7000 sites in queue.

Great news! Your hard work really shows. Let us know when the backlog gets dangerously low. We'll rectify that asap... :D

So how is the listings of sites coming?

Get those damn sites listed asap. :) I want other places to be very sorry they did not promote this directory. I wish to stick it to them in a big way.

Keep in mind that people 'remember' things. They remember both the good AND the bad. Normally they remember the bad much better and then tell others about it.

I just finsihed re-doing the submit form and the editors love it now. They're moving to the live database today. :)

Get those editors listing sites now. I have a whole bunch of sites to submit but I'm waiting for right now. :)

That is true. But IMNSHO, there's going to be a whole lot of good opinion of this directory for a long time to come.

Better to make certain that there aren't ongoing difficulties now, causing ongoing problems (and negative feelings) for the future.

In other words, we want to get this thing right from start. The gates are now open, so you should start seeing listings added pretty quickly.

This directory will be very good for SEOs. Deb's structured it so that you will get maximum benefit for your listings - especially if your keywords are in your URL.

I'm certain that everyone will be happy with not only their listings on the site, but the overall quality of the directory. (unless, of course, you're a spammer or a porn promoter... you won't find any help here!)

:D

Oh, my comment was not meant for the directory and good or bad, but it "was" for this directory "remembering" who did them good and also remembering "who did them bad out there. Get it? :)

I like it. Simple, attractive, slick. Looks set to be a great resource.

I visited when it was first announced and submitted a few sites. I believe one of my sites was listed but now has dissappeared. I also submitted more sites a few weeks ago I think. Is it too early to see them still?

Good luck with it!

Yeah, we ended up restructuring the database and have also introduced a ratings system that my partner and I had decided on a while back.

Sites are rated by 1 to 3 beanies, with 3 being an exceptional site, 2 is above average, and 1 is average.

Some of the editors have already began indexing sites into the database last night. Over the next week I am hoping we'll have been able to get through all 8,000 submitted sites and weed out the wheat from the chaff.

The editors are doing an outstanding job and we have a great group. :)
