Hello board, sure like the look of what you are about here and could just be someone here can save me from going mad.

I built and submitted a site to google and various other engines almost a month ago, since then all the spiders from the engines have been going througth my site on a regular basis, (google comes through every 48 hours), but alas so far I have'nt had any traffic from the engines I submitted to :(

I have been looking for information on how long it could be before I can expect traffic and the answers I have had back vary so widely they have left me more confused than when I started !

Please help before the tension kills me !

Welcome to the forums Whitey! :hi:

It has zero to do with you submitting anywhere. It does have to do with "optimization" and if your site is ready to get noticed on the search engines on "your targeted keyphrases". Did you research your phrases first? That's your first step.

Before you do anything more, please spend a few months and read in here about how you get your site ready for the search engines. You may want to get a critique on your site so just post in the web design forum in here.

There is much more to this than 'submitting'. I wish it were that simple. :)

To the best of my knowledge, (somewhat limited), my site is in good shape search engine wise.

If any one would be kind enougth to critique then it's at www.sorrynoadult.com ,(it's an adult oriented shopping site)

Please let me know what you think and if I have made any mistakes.

Sorry Whitey, but we don't do adult in here as we have members underage.

You said you were 'new' so I doubt that your site is ready for the search engines. Please read all you can in here about how to get ready and ask questions about what you learned. :)

So? These forums don't allow adult site links. You read that when you registered in here. We have underage kids as members with some being our best members.

You got me wrong, Doug. I know that no adult link will be allowed here. But I type the URL in the Address Bar. It says there is no such website. Since there is no such website, why whitley
talked about it here

Because I edited it as I don't allow adult links. :)

"sorry no adult"

That's okay. We were "all" new at one time. :)
