I am interested in adsense, but I find it odd that there is no info on how much you get paid per click? Once you sign up do they provide this information?

Or is it just a "trust us - we are google, the good guys" kind of thing?

It's the "trust us" thing. They don't disclose what percentage they pay out.

Whatever the percentage is, I get the feeling from messages in some of the Forums that people feel that it is a reasonable proportion.

You can figure it out <added>approximately</added> if you are an advertiser on AdWords :slywink: but they can change the percentages at will...they haven't made any promises on that front!

I personally think that Google doesn't want to disclose their calculating secret to their competition. The competitors in the similar field are quick to mimic it I guess.

I personally think Google probably doesn't care what the competitors know or do about this. There is nothing quite like the Google Adsense program. I think it is just a great idea!

I get about 120 unique visitors daily. My website is non-profit and purely informative. At least now I can recover the hosting costs.

To talk about how much you make from Google adsense is in violation of Google's rule. Hopefully, Google won't notice your statement here :p

Welcome to the forums video! :hi:

You cannot post how much you make. I edited it. Of course Google would read it. They do daily and I have been emailed because members continue to break their TOS about this.

:hi: videoactive! welcome to the forums! It's always a good idea to go through the Google terms and conditions. Better late than never!

While you're at it, you may want to take a look at the Alternate Ads that they now allow. In the event that there is no ad that can be displayed on your page, they will show your Alternate Ad instead of the general purpose ads for charities and non-profit organizations.
