I just wanted to share with you all the great week I have had for hits to my site.

I added a new page this week with a brand new product which is less that half the price of our competitors. I emailed a link to a well known news website in my industry and they put a news item on their front page. Within a half hour our phones were ringing off the hook and when I checked our hits the next morning, instead of being the usual 30-40,000 they were 120,000 and they were 153,000 yesterday. Companies are ordering our product by the 1000's. All this for one simple email.

I have worked very hard to get the hits up to 40,000 with months of effort in getting ranked well in the search engines. I have learned loads coming to this forum and a number of others, and most importantly I learned that web promotion is more than SEO. So what I am am getting at is thanks everyone for help in getting me a Christmas bonus!!

Louise

Congratulations!

Sometime it takes something as simple as an email to get the phones ringing. Just remember that this will most likely die off soon. Keep looking ahead for more ways to promote.

Yes. There are many of these out there. Sometimes they work, and sometimes not. It depends how often each script is updated.

Great Job Louise!

It just goes to show that there is more to marketing than high search engien rankings. You also have to have the product and the price.
