Can someone please recommend a way to save a web page as a picture or object so that I can insert/import into MS Word (and resize it)? Thanks, SAM

The easiest way I know of is, while the browser window is selected, press alt-printscreen. That will save the window to your clipboard. Then you can paste it into a new object in a graphics program.

If you're using Photoshop, hit ctrl-N to create a new image and it will default to the size of the window you just copied. Then ctrl-v to paste it in, and you can resize it, crop it, whatever, then save it as a gif or a jpg.

Alt+printscreen? I just use printscreen alone here

printscreen will copy everything on your screen, no matter how many windows you have open, and including the wallpaper and the shortcuts. alt-printscreen will just copy the currently active window.

I should add that if you don't happen to have any graphics editing program, you can just copy the window, choose an insertion point by clicking in your Word doc, and paste it directly in. Word's graphic editing tools aren't great, but they'll do the job in many cases.

Even better you can press F11 in the browser or go to
View -> Full Screen then press Print Screen then paste that into whatever. Then if there is a toolbar at the top right click and auto-hide it. This way you don't get the browser tool bar or anything else just the page content.

That's true, Andrew. Good point. But that also means that you're definitely going to have to crop and/or resize your image after you paste it in. If you make the window the size you want it to be before you copy it to the clipboard, you probably just need to crop out the toolbars after you paste it in, so it's likely to look better in the end.
