May I know when adsense program started ?

In this press release (http://www.google.com/press/pressrel/advertising.html) dated March 4, 2003, Google doesn't mention AdSense by name, but it does announce "a new content-targeted advertising service that extends advertiser reach and makes web pages more useful by replacing untargeted ads with relevant sponsored links," so I'm thinking that must be it.

The program was launched to "everyone" in mid-June 2003. I know they had some sites testing it before that, though.

Since then, I was not too late to go on board. :cool:

But I am worried that Google might scrap it if the results turned out are not what they expect after some time.

Adsense is going great, I wouldn't worry about them dropping the program.

I wouldn't depend on it as my only source of income, but it pays all the hosting bills. :D

Hopefully the program can go against all odds as I believe many hackers out there are trying cause some trouble to it.
