HotBot dropping pages for both free and paid inclusion?

Hi All,

I have just done two search engine ranking reports for clients and in both they've been dropped for all keyword phrases (bar one for one client). One client is done by free submission and the other is by paid inclusion - PT. No major changes have been made to either site. Plus all competitors have been dropped too. Both sites have been ranking in the top 10 (ofter #1) for months - one client has had position 1 rankings for years.

I am also finding that some searches where you'd expect results it's coming back "no matches for your query".

I did another report yesterday for a another client and all is as should be.

Has anyone else experienced any probs with HotBot today?

I am going to recheck the positions in the next day or so to see of there was a blip. In the meantime any insight would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a blip to me. Did you check these manually ? Or could it have been your reporting software. Have you tried doing the same searches at hotbot.co.uk to see if there is anything different coming up.

It's the still the same on hotbot.lycos.com (ie no positions). However I tried hotbot.co.uk as you suggested and the sites were coming up as expected (ie Position 1, 2, 4 etc). Hopefully it is blip on hotbot.lycos.com.

FYI - the reports were initially done with software but after seeing the results I went and rechecked them all manually.
