No. Each exist as two seperate entities after a split in ownership.
Skaffe does have a 'Free Submit' that is available at random times throughout the day if speed is not a factor.

I am wondering what the difference is between Goguides and Skaffe is... they look similar to me! and they both have the same directory paths? Who owns the rights to the database..and how can Goguides sell something that Skaffe has up which is the same directory ....who would buy it? Are they Skaffe now and just need money thats why there selling GoGuides... can someone enlighten me?

P.S. Does the same owner own both :confused:

The owners of GoGuides had a falling out and they went their seperate ways. The guy that actually owned the domain name GoGuides.org kept his domain name and moved it to a different server. The remaining people still had all the content on their server and simply created a new domain name for it.

So if they had a fallen out do they both own the directory? how can Goguides sell it if Skaffe own it or vice versa or do they both own it and they both can sell it if they want? I just noticed that Goguides was for sale? then Skaffe popped up with the same database... I dont see any value in it.. if they both have permission to sell it? Did they split it up so they both have equal rights to it... Im trying to see what the difference is? to me they are exactly the same!

Bummer for whoever really owns the database?

You can email either one of them or both of them if you wish for your answers. We are not getting into the middle of what they did or how they did it in these forums.

All I know is that you can submit your site to 'both' of them and have double your pleasure. That's really all you need to know. :)

Basically it was some in fighting. Happens at ALL companies that have multiple owners. Moral of the story? Don't take on business partners.

Sorry for the stir up ... just confused??? by the way did anyone else hear that Kanoodle got funding and some of the about.com and Sprinks executives are now with Kanoodle.com

Anyone no how much funding they got? or if its true.
