Greetings:
I had a couple of sites that I submitted to WebSavvy during the directory's first few days. These sites were in the directory for a little while and then they disappeared from the directory.
The sites are good quality and not spammy or anything like that. Should I resubmit them?
Thanks:
Rich

Me too ..
I submitted the site in my profile within the first few days of a thread here first mentioning the WebSavvy directory. I check from time to time and no show as yet. Has it been lost or is there just a huge backlog?

No. The directory underwent a reorganization for the category structures and existing listings were set aside in a safe place. They will get re-processed along with the thousands of other URLs in the submission queue. Deb is close to adding some more editors to the pool so hopefully the processing will get a boost soon.

No need to worry guys. The listings you submitted to the DB that have been indexed, are there in the first base. We have had major category re-organization going on. In fact, I've hired two more programmers to help out because there's that much work.
The three of us have been working very hard these past few days and as of last night we're 98% done. There's just a few small things to pop into place today that shouldn't require more than perhaps 6 hours work, and then you'll all be able to see the fruits of our labor in the morning. :)
This is going to be a VERY exciting update!

Savvy1,
I have a site listed but I cannot find it through the category listings. I can find it in Search. But how can I find out which category it is in? Not sure if you are done with the updates but a category URL in the search listing like DMOZ would be helpful. (ie, Business>Computers>Intenet>hosting)
But great Job on the Directory as of yet, quite the undertaking I am sure. :thumb:

Thanks. :) Yes, actually the category listing in the search results is one of the things we've implemented in this update along with a ton of other stuff. I would have had it completed 2 days ago as planned, except for being hit with a 3 day long migraine headache I didn't plan on. :)
We've finished all of the code for the updates now, and I've been putting together the flow, so that way we can have the whole update done, with the site only having to be down for less than an hour.
Should be tomorrow sometime. :)
