i figured it out, thanks mark,,,,,,,,

I needed to get all that code off my page so i just exported {ie:"src=fly_fishing.js"} it to get it off my page. I hope I havent screwed things up for visitors with older browsers but it is working just the same with my browser

Hi Mac--

What were you trying to do? Make the HitsLink code an external file? Does the external JS file affect traffic analysis?

I've been thinking of doing the same thing...

MS,

I cant see any problems so far, but please check out the page and review the way i did it, let me know if you can improve my effort.
The code is at the bottom and you can download the java script files here

http://www.charlestonfishingguide.com/charleston_sc.js<null> and

http://www.charlestonfishingguide.com/fly_fishing.js<null>

im not sure if the charleston_sc.js is neccessary so if you do check it out let me know what you think

ps: remove <null> when visiting

I added the HitsLink code to a site of mine through an external javascript...The stats are just fine....

Hey Mac--You can put both of those into one file....and you can also remove the comment tags in those js files...It should work just fine...

FYI: it also registers stats coming from the Opera browser in case you were wondering.
