Pleased to hear it ...

I've only just started using the service - I've placed it on several sites, in areas where I'd been using a banner rotation system with some 'Commission Junction' banners.

The Google reporting is not so detailed as CJs, but the results are astounding. I may even use Google in places I'd reserved for special promotions.

The breadth of advertisers has been impressive; the content matching is generally very good (and where not good, seriously amusing).

As well as being a novelty to me, I guess its a novelty to many of my readers ... so I'll be interested to see if the click-thru rate is maintained.

I agree! I have been using Google Adsense for just over one month now and I am impressed with the results.

I reckon Google Adsense is good to use, that's if you want to make some extra income from your site.

Nice one Google!

They send checks all the way to Malaysia? Does your bank charge a fee to deposit a check in US dollars?

A fee would be charged for check clearance by bank. It takes a few weeks to clear anyway and it is yet to know what the fee is.

Google always keeps promises :) Don't worry about where you live :)

It's only a matter of time before there will be alternative means of payment ... but (as of last week) it's still "We hope to in the next few months". I'd suggested Paypal, but they ignored that bit of my enquiry :balling:

I agree that check sending is rather risky. It may get lost on the way :D

Depending on how much business you have with the USA, you might consider opening an account with Mailboxes, etc. the world wide courier service

http://www.mbe.com/

Our Venezuelan postal service is so dismal that I have been using them for years. Not only will the reception of checks be safer, you can buy things in the US that many companies refuse to ship overseas and have them deliverd to a US mailing address, the address MBE will furnish you with. Just be careful with the transportation charges, don't buy anything bulky or heavy as it wil cost you an arm and a leg. The kinds of things I typically buy are books, tea, printer ink cartridges, software, and I save a bundle compared to our local price.

Congrats on your AdSense check!

A lot of places won't deliver to a Mailbox etc. Lots and lots of fraud at those places. Usually the addresses are marked with a PMB (private mail box) number. The federal government passed a law requiring these places to refuse any packages not marked with a PMB number. Sometimes thieves call it a suite number or a mailstop number to disguise it as a big company address. Unfortunetly I heard that law got repealed. A lot of mailorder fraud that occurs from Indonesia or Nigeria is sent to these PMB's.

I have not had a problem with Mailboxes etc. No one, so far, has refused to ship to Mailboxes etc. I do have a PMB number.

Talk to your local MBE representative and get the facts.
