What would you like to see Inktomi Search/Submit partners provide to you... the customer ? :)

Very good question Clay! I am sure you will recieve lots of feedback.
Probably one thing could be to give stats on All partners and not just a few.

hey all, surely those of you who use a "paid" to get spidered thing either at PT or ineedhits have other features you would like implemented? Speak up please.

I currently use PositionTech, but if iNeedHits can provide a discount for Aust/NZ businesses, I'd be happy to switch providers ;)
Apart from that, how about better loyalty discounts - the more clients you send the lower the price - wider range of threshold options rather than URL's 2-1000 (are you kidding??). Having just reached your old threshold of 20 URL's, I was looking forward to the next threshold discount, only to see this price hike.
Also, I'd like to see more regional search engine partners for Inktomi listings in Aust/NZ.

I also currently use PT as I signed up with them from the beginning (before others starting offering the Inktomi Paid Inclusion service).
I'd like to see more detailed referral stats...i think right now it gives you the number of hits and average rank over the inktomi powered engines included in the stats...
As Kal mentioned, some sort of threshold discount...I've been paying the $12/url now for some time and i just can't justify paying double now...
[wishful thinking]When my renewal comes around, I don't know what I'm gonna do...It would be nice for those of us who have been paying since the beginning to be 'grandfathered' in when it comes time to renew and be able to pay the same price we started at ;) [/wishful thinking]
(i don't know if this was ever verified or not) if we choose to stop using the Paid Inclusion, our pages should stay in the database but just not get refreshed every 48 hours...(i'm finding some inconsistencies with pages I've dropped from paid inclusion--sometimes they show up on Inktomi powered engines and sometimes they don't)

Boy do I ever agree with those posts. I cannot understand why the search engines do not realize that the SEO's out there are the ones who can promote a particular service, whether "pay for spider" or "pay for inclusion" or "pay for listing". Because of this, why would they not wish to offer incentives for the very people who are capable of promoting them the mostest?
I have asked Looksmart about this in the past and they said they were thinking about something.
We are the ones who can promote Inktomi "pay for spidering" the absolute best. Why not have an incentive? As it is, personally, I could submit a whole slew of pages if I really wanted to, but here we are with all these pages to submit, and being charged the exact same price as JoeSmoe out there who wishes to submit his personal home page. Something does not seem right here.
As of now, I have yet to pay for the Ink service, but could be swayed if I knew my submissions were wanted and my skills at promoting and target reach was appreciated as such.
Also, I do understand that ineedhits will contact my current clients if I do start submitting them. This is NOT an option in any circumstance. NO one should be able to contact my clients about anything. I want no one to talk to my clients. They are mine,... no one else's.
If all these things were taken care of, and we were appreciated more than we are now, my thinking would change. Why wouldn't Inktomi, and/or ineedhits want more business?

I also use PT but as another Australian I agree with what Kal said about more regional AU/NZ sites using Inktomi results. I'd also like to see a discount for Australians - or at least let us pay in Aussie $$. The US $$ is killing us at the moment :(

Oh and I am not 100% sure this is right but someone from ineedhits recently posted here that you give optimisation suggestions directly to the person who's website it is. For those of us that do this on behalf of clients this is a big no no and the main reason I chose PT. Would have preferred to support a fellow Aust company if I could have.
Can you tell me what the story is with this?
TIA

This is no different than what Proboost/infospider does if you submit your clients to them. They also will contact the sites you submit and try to give them "advice". Not good and the reason I would never pay for AltaVista.

Instead of looking for extra's, how about trying to do the basics, as advertised.
48hr re-submission would be a good place to start.
And, updating the URL status page when there has been a status change, not 24/48 hours after the change.
My URL's were last updated 03:26 2001-12-07 and I have no idea when they are going to be submitted again.
I am new to this and would like to see if I can get me site listed higher than 15,000th position as soon as possible.
