Hi all,

Not sure if this belongs in this forum, but it best suited my question. I am going insane trying to figure out how to incorporate a RSS newsfeed on our site. Nothing is making sense to me and I can't find a simple (*really* simple) step by step to help me. I understand the terminology and what RSS/XML is, what parsers do, etc., but I don't know what file goes where, and what to do with it before it gets there.

I'm pretty competent in html and a little less so in css. I don't know why this is so hard for me. I need a techie to sit next to me and explain! Does anyone know of a good website resource for me? I've been to countless sites, but none of them are helping this idiot figure this out and it's frustrating. I'm getting left behind in the rss dust! :hit:

Try this:
http://www.high-search-engine-ranking.com/How_To_Get_Your_Web_Site_Content_Syndicated.htm by Dan Thies and Kalena Jordan, both Super mods here.

The link by Polarmate shows how to produce an RSS feed. It appears you're trying to consume an RSS feed (i.e.) take the RSS feed and transform it to HTML for displaying on your page. There might be a bit of programming involved for this and it depends on your setup. Here's how to do it using a .NET platform: http://www.devx.com/xml/Article/16150/0/page/1
and another using PHP:

Fixed the link. Thanks polarmate :)

Thanks for the replies. :)

Yes, I'm wanting to consume the feed for use on our site. As soon as I'm back in town from Thanksgiving, I'll read those articles. At quick glance, they seem more explanitory than what I've been finding elsewhere.

 sorry about that kelly!
Thanks, ArmenT! Both URLS look similar though...

Duh, that's what I get for posting when half-asleep. I fixed the second link :)
