Google is now showing results from Frrogle just above the normal serps. Might be some kind of testing as it's still in beta. The results are showing for competitive searches only (web design etc. )

It looks like a cool new feature, to give searchers the best of both worlds.

Sorry, I don't see it... I do see where you can click to go to the listings provided by the Google Directory, but I see nothing from Froogle.
Froogle is for online merchant pages only, where someone is actually selling a product with the ability to prchases via a shopping cart.

It depends on what you search for, and may not be rolled out everywhere yet.
Example, "air compressor": http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=air+compressor

Ahhh.... I can see it now if I actually search for a product. Sorry about that.
I, at first, did a search as suggested on "web design" and saw no results from Froogle.
Next I'll have to investigate to see if thse product results are natural or paid by Froogle members.
Any idea?

Froogle is free - at least for now.
But those listings that appear are from feeds submitted by merchants who have signed up with Froogle.
If you see a name and not a URL next to a Froogle listing, then it's usually a Froogle merchant.

Hmm...spoke too soon!
Froogle used to mix results from the web with results from feeds submitted by their merchants. And what I mentioned in my previous post was a way to differentiate between the two.
Now I see this on Froogle:
The results below were automatically extracted from web pages.
Price and category information are uncertain. [details - http://froogle.google.com/froogle/about.html#bar]

Yeah, I'm familiar with Froogle and how they work for the most part. I feed them close to 1,000 product listings a few times per month for one of my clients. Modified the shopping cart to make exporting the feed a one-click process to simplify things.
Just wondering now if a merchant has to pay an amount to get into those product listings showing in the Google SERPs, or if they are just grabbed from the top of the natural order in Froogle...

I'm not seeing the Froogle links at all, likely because that is just for US stores right? I'm in Canada. Other than that the results are much the same.
Note that I'm also several snippets that are coming out of the description tag! Cool!

Funny you should mention that in Mike Grehan's newsletter there was an interview with GoogleGuy, and the impression I got was that Froogle would always be free to help people who can't get indexed. He pretty much poo-pooed Inclusion or PFI of any sort!

Froogle is part of the master Google plan to dominate the free world! ;-)
I like it, my rain barrel was number one on the little froogle list in google this morning, my hunch paid off. AND for some reason it chose to display the mispelled word "rain barrell" I had been testing. I believe Froogle is part of the plan to separate retail from google searches. Is it a good thing? We will see...

Just 5 days ago I mentioned that Froogle was part of the Google master plan.

Just uploaded my first Froogle data feed. I have been impressed at the timely manner that the Google team has responded to my inquiries on setting up the feed. Another adventure begins!:D

Is this new on Google's homepage?
Shopping? Try Froogle - Google's product search service
I haven't seen it there before. And it's in larger font size than the rest of the links below it.

They're also showing News headlines on some SERPs now:

I have read the froogle details and still confused. Do you have to actually provide ecommerce with credit card purchasing to be included or can you have a web site of products to order but you have to send an email or call to actually purchase the product? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, you have to take orders on your web site, in U.S. dollars, and ship/deliver to U.S. customers.
