Has anyone heard about the promotion 1and1.com is offering-- $5.99 for a domain and free hosting for three years? This sounds way too good to be true! I wanted to know if anyone has signed up for this promotion or had experience with this company?

I've never heard of them, but they are "only" offering their $29/month web hosting for free for three years. They will charge $6/year for the domain. See the FAQ page...
