Just got an email from Overture:

Dear Overture™ Advertiser:

We have just expanded our existing partner agreement with Infospace (Excite)
to bring you even more sales leads. To maximize the leads you receive from this
deal, we recommend that you move into Premium Listings™ (the top three positions)
and increase the funds in your account.

Infospace (Excite)
Within the next week, all searches conducted at www.excite.com will now include
Overture's top five search listings at the top of the page. For selected terms,
10 additional Overture search listings will be displayed.

Users will see the same implementation when they conduct searches at www.webcrawler.com,
Excite's Web search directory.

FindWhat still provides for:
CNET
Dogpile
Mamma
Metacrawler

and have been running a profitable company. They said that Excite only accounted for 10% of their clicks.

Keep Fighting FindWhat!

Yep. It's quite a shame. This is the same route Go.com took and we know how many referrals we get from them. Down the tubes. Very sad.

I have to imagine that is going to kill findwhat

Yep. Killing off the competition cannot be a good thing for the Overture advertisers. Can and only will mean more money per click and lower ROI's. Is there any PPC's even close now?
