I got tired of adding the AdSense code real quick to my pages just to check. So this morning, I threw together a tool that will let you check without adding AdSense code.

Hopefully it's of use to others...

This is why I would NEVER use adsense in these forums or on any of my sites:

sheesh.... what garbage.
Yes. Looks like a nice tool. :)

And that's exactly the reason I made it... to see what pages within my sites that I would even want to put AdSense ads. :)

Sorry, I'm terminally confused; interesting tool on your site; but what's the point of adding the code to my page (other than giving you promotion and perhaps diverting my adsense income to you?)
Sorry, maybe I'm just not firing on all 6.5 cylinders ...

The code doesn't ad our AdSense, just the ability to use the tool from your site.

Sorry, I don't quite get it, Doug. What's wrong with adding adsense to this forums to generate some extra bucks ? After all, these forums are well-known that must have tremendous traffic :)
Just tell you something, just because you didn't do while others did, I wrote to Google whether others are violating Google's policy :p .

huh? Please explain that in English. :)
I am dead-set against ANY site who offers guarantees or auto submissions or ANYthing like that. We teach members and guests in here the "right" way. If I were to all the sudden start showing ads of websites who are "unethical" or SCAMS on these forums, what do you think would happen?
For the record; I call ANY site offering up auto submission to thousands or even hundreds of non-existant search engines, and doing so for a couple of bucks, A SCAM.

Fair enough; I can see that might be useful for some.
It's certainly a useful tool, and one that actually works :D

Just in plain English :). I saw some forums sites with adsense ads and some don't that made me wonder if those which have ads are against the Google's policy.
If they are not, then I would consider setting up a forum and put adsense ads later.

Oh sure, AdSense can make some bucks for a site owner. It depends on your market and what your forums are all about.
In this industry, there are soooo many scams and quick buck artists who advertise with Google, if I were to start showing these ads, I would be going against everything I believe in. I don't sell out for a buck like most people do. Most do not care about who they take money from to advertise. I do.
For instance, when the front page of 'this' domain... ihelpyouservices.com is ready to go, I'll be selling 'text' ads on the pages, etc. I will have FULL control of who I take money from. If I don't like....... even a little bit, what the site offers as far as services and how they go about things, I will NOT take their money. My choice.

I'm sure you're right - all of my adsense-using sites are non-controversial, but I've had to block one or two advertisers - if my sites were SEO, real estate, travel ... to name but three ... I'd spend most of my waking hours blocking those I'd not like to be associated with my site!
As it happens, I don't mind competitors advertising - I think it shows my readers I have nothing to fear ... plus if they want to subsidize my site, who am I to complain :) But I would draw the line at some of the parasites in certain areas!

what baffles me is that Google's doctrine is ' don't be evil ' but why Google accepts the adwords advertisers to claim they can submit a site to the top ten listing in Google as well as other big search engines ?
As what Google suggests that only manual submission from their ' submit URL ' carries weight, none would be effective let alone having high rank in the listings though.

I guess they keep all their operations separate, and when they're taking money, they aren't concerned about the details, and don't monitor ad content routinely.
I'd also guess that they'd act if there were enough compalints - but take the cash for as long as possible. With Yahoo! dumping them, they need all the cash they can get!

I think there aren't complaints because the vast majority of adsense ads in almost every normal field are fine. The problem with SEO is that it is an industry full of con artists and liars. Since the Florida update, I've even started getting them calling me on the phone. It's no big deal for me because I know the score, and can spot them a mile away. But most web site owners out there are innocently ignorant. And these are the people that SEO con artists prey on.
And I do think Adsense is generally discriminiating about the ads they accept. But few people would want some sort of "morals police" in charge of it.
