Professional feedback on PPC & PSS please
---------------------------------------------------

We wish to solicit professional comment, feedback, thoughts, etc on the following, from SEO, SEM and Web Design bona fide professionals.

Please refreain from the temptation of posting anything which might be mere opinon, unless it goes directly to the topic please - in other words, no venting - please:

1 - PPC Keyword Targeted Ads and Sponsored Listings

http://WebSearch.COM.AU has been running a series of very successful trials with SEO, Web Design, and SEM professionals ( around 683 of them registered to date ) of two new services we wish to bring to the market as part of a re-launch of WebSearch.COM.AU on it's ten year anniversary on March 25th, 2004.

The first is essentially pay per click advertising, nothing that new here truth be told - we offer 100% keyword focused pay per click "text box ads" as well as "sponsor listings"

To keep the initial offering as straight forward to work with, we have set the cost per click as:

a) - Text Boxes @ AUD$0.30c per click

b) - Sponsor Listings @ AUD$0.60c per click

Note that we ONLY offer keyword/phrase targeted ads, there's no limit to keywords but they MUST be relevant to the ad, although we are planning to be reasonable on any "broad" use of keywords unless they are clearly being put to an unreasonable use.

We are asking that upon Registration, an inital credit of AUD$20.00 to registered accounts, pretty standard stuff, again, to keep what we're offering as close as possible to current experience accross most similar systems.

We don't plan on inventing any more wheels, merely streamlining their manufacture.

2 - Priority Site Submissions

Again, we have worked with SEO and SEM professionals on this ( around 430 or more registered for this trial ) with what has to date been a great success.

The second is priority site submission, again, nothing necessarily earth shattering here, but we've set outselves the goal of delivering each and every time - there are a lot of major sites taking money to provide priority site inclusions, but tend to miss the deadlines almost every time!

The current format we've been trialing with great acceptance to date, and that I'm keen to get feedback on please, is:

$FREE = 30 day approx
$ 9.99 = 14 day inclusion of up to 10 urls
$19.99 = 7 day inclusion of up to 20 urls
$29.99 = 3 day inclusion of up to 30 urls
$39.99 = 24 hour inclusion of up to 40 urls
$49.99 = 1 hour inclusion of up to 50 urls

note: the 1 hour inclusions are clocked between Australian Eastern Standard Time in Sydney of 8am and 8pm, submissions outside of those hours will initially be processed at 8am the following day - untill we complete an automated payment gateway to our bank for credit card processing [ or a kagi gateway ].

I am currently in the midst of a debate with a number of SEO's and SEM's about the validity o fa priority re-indexing service, where registered sites would get priority re-indexing over the $free sites, but there appears to be very mixed feelings about this - mostly from me to be honest! More on that in another thread.

For your valuable input, I'd like to offer to those who offer valuable and professional input, advice, experience, and feedback, or even potential adjustments to make what we're aiming to offer more attractive to the current market, I have approved either bulk URL submissions of *.au sites for $FREE ( one time ) or credit on our ad system for your site or clients sites - so I look forward to seeing some really great discussion, input and experience in this thread.

Oh, further to this, please know that we are prepararing for another fun announcement from WebSearch [ although under a different, new brand name ] in the large scale search engine "space".

sincerely,

Dez
