I wonder if Google adsense won't serve ads on a page if it is refreshed many many times or someone flipped through pages repreatedly ?
As you can see I have other affiliate program ( clixgalore ) too on my pages in the site. And the ads impressions generated are not far from Google's.
But today's page view is 10 times more than either Google or clixgalore impressions. To me that means if 1000 page view generated, only 100 impressions were successfully shown. Am I on the right track on this thinking ?
How to describe such phenomenon ?

On second thought, my post is a mess. Let me put it straight. Today, one single country ( Vietnam ) it produced the number of page viewed on my stat more than what the rest of the countries in this world combined.
Oddly enough, the ads impressions generated on either Google adsense or other ads don't tally with the overall page view. So I wonder if a site or pages inside are repeated refreshed or flip through would result in ads failing to serve ?
I don't understand why guys from a single country clicked the site so many times ? It happens once in a while. Luckily they didn't click adsense ads or Google might think that spam is taking place.
So I need your advice,
1) why the sudden surge of page viewed. ? ( Because it doesn't make sense since only a fraction of visitors came from this country today )
2) the page view is not tally with impressons ?

It could be anything. No way to know for sure.
Could be the page did not load completely for adsense to show, or could be a number of other things. It depends on your stats program as well. The code for the stats might not load each time. It could be many things of many more things.

Also depends what's on the page that might interest folk in a particular country; one of my sub domains used to get just 80-100 unique vistors per day; then it shot up to 1500/day for a few days, before slowly returning to a little above the earlier norm. Turned out that I got a mention on some quiz on an aol group!
I did get (some) lasting benefit, as a couple of the 10,000 unique vistors over the next couple of weeks linked to me from their web sites, and a couple of dozen contributed useful material. And a few others asked the weirdest questions ... but that's another story!
As it happens, i rarely look at my stas - but I'm prepared to bet that a good number would have produced strange results due to proprietary browser settings. And I understand that similar events occur in parts of East Asia - maybe because of political constraints and restrictions, maybe because of language/character variations in browser setup.
Maybe because of a congenital aversion to jscript ;)
One thing you can be very sure of - it's most unlikly to be anything to worry about.
