Hey everyone, I'd like to possibly snatch up a few quality domain names that are available in my market. Thing thing is, I'm not sure what to do with them when I get them. I have a website that I've been promoting for a couple of years now.
So...with the new domains, should I:

1) park (direct) them to/against my current domain? If so, should I promote the new domains just like I do my current domain having them all lead to the same URL?(isn't that considered spam?)

2) build a new site for each domain, promote each site individually, and have all domains linking to one another? My concern there is the cost of hosting for every single domain.

3) link each domain to a certain, but different, page on my current site instead of building a different website for each of the new domains? If so, they wouldn't be leading to the same exact URL but they would still be linking to the same website. Is THAT considered spam?

4) ??? Any ideas.

Thank you very much for any help you can give me on this. I appreciate all or your input.

If the domains are the type that could be entered directly into the browser then they are worth buying. If you just want to take them out of circulation then buy them. In these two scenarios I'd just alias (park) them and point them at the old site.

If you are planning on promoting the new domains then this can be a recipe for disaster if it involves the old site in any way.

If new sites are planned do not crosslink the new domains to your old one this is just looking for trouble. In fact I would strongly advise not linking any sites you own to each other because you just never know how a SE will interpret it. Write new content don't use any of the old content. If there is a shared shopping cart be sure not to link to it use a form this way the SE are less likely to figure out your multi domain strategy.
