...everywhere, but do use moderation!~ 8)
I spent some time this AM reviewing Mel's Introduction to Search Engine Optimization (http://search-engine-optimization.ecommercehosts.com). Now I know why some feel threatened by it's mere existence!~ Mel, there is some very good information in that tutorial!~ :read:
There are many places that spiders look for keywords, some locations more valuable than others. Here are some places you should be using:
URL address
Page Title
Keywords tag
Description tag
Other meta tags such as content or abstract tags
Headers
body content
Text Links
Alt Tags
Comments
No Frames Tags
Graphic file names
Page names
That's a very nice comprehensive list of areas which can be targeted for keywords. The Spider Problem Areas (http://search-engine-optimization.ecommercehosts.com/search_engine_site_design_c.htm#Spider%20problem%20areas) is also good information! Also some good content on Cloaking (http://search-engine-optimization.ecommercehosts.com/cloaking.htm#Cloaking) and search engine data (http://search-engine-optimization.ecommercehosts.com/search_engine_data.htm#Major%20Search%20Engines) as well.
Mel that must have taken quite some time to put all that together. Very nicely done. Reading through the material took me through 8 months of search engine optimization learning!~ That one article combines a great wealth of SEO information in one place! I also liked how the next page feature always dropped the browser below the banner, very nice for reading!~ :)
Great information!~
