New Advanced Search Features

We're pleased to announce that we've added new advanced search features to WebSavvy Directory.

You are now able to search select fields by Title, Description, URL, Keywords, and Date.

We've also added in an advanced search feature to allow users to check the status of their submission by Queue.

Hmm, I used the search to track the progress of a site I submitted about 9 months ago.

It said "Not found".

You were going to let me know the progress of that site back at Christmas, but never did.

Should I submit it again?

G1, PM me your details and I'll take care of it today. I have just been very, very busy. We have two search partners getting ready to launch soon, we just upgraded our servers, and I'm getting ready to move in just a few weeks.

I will index your site for you though, if you PM me your info. :)

Like g1smd I submitted two sites last year, and have not seen them listed, appear in the search index, or appear in the queue search.

Should I resubmit?

Hi gimmster, why don't you PM me your details and I'll check in Unreviewed for you. If they're in there, and not listed, I'll index them tonight providing the category they need exists, and the site meets our indexing guidelines.

If the category doesn't exist, then I'll create it tonight as I have a few others to make also.

Visiting your site today I noticed you have 1111 pages listed. Perhaps this eludes to your directory becoming number 1 ? :) (by the time you read it - it may well be gone...)

Anyway, you're doing a great job and I know it must be a hell of a job geting where you are now - starting from scratch.

Yeah, it's 1111 right now, and has been for a few days. We're just imposing a pause for a few days to allow me the chance to get the new stuff in.

We have a boat load of new stuff that'll be live in just a few days. I think visitors, as well as web owners, will like the new improvements.

Everyone's been real patient during this upgrade, and it's much appreciated.

Thanks Seb. :) That's been up and in since a while ago. We're going to have more little goodies in just a few days.

I'm just about to it now. This update has been a ton of work because I've literally redone almost everything. It wasn't "bad" or "broken" before, I just made it "better" and "more flexible" and have added a lot of new stuff.

By the weekend, I'll have everything in place on the development server for my partner and the Admin.'s to review and if they agree it's ready for public eyes, we'll make it live on WebSavvy server Monday morning.
