Pure Inktomi?

often while checking my inktomi standings at 169.207.238.189 i find sites that are not listed under their meta title and description. this is true for sites that I know have not changed in the past year. are the results from inktomi really pure or is it getting title and descriptions from another directory?

These are most probably your descriptions from Looksmart. There is a tie in between LS and Inktomi that results in Ink. engines using your Looksmart description if you have the same page in both. However, the results ARE pure Ink.

i have a listing in ls but ink picks up my meta data.

for instance when i do a search with msn for one such site. the first ls results come up and then when the ink results come up it uses the same title and description ignoring the meta data.
giving the site two listings, both with the ls data, ignoring his meta content

Yes. That is what it does. If you have a LS listing, it will use all that data instead of meta.
