Hi, I'm new to this forum and I had a question about traffic-power.com
My company recently starting using their service. We are already $700 in and there is still another $900 to be paid for future services. I have searched this forum for reviews and they all pretty much said not to use them, but seeing as how we are already part way in should we go all the way with them, or cut our losses? Thank you.

Welcome to the forums Jason! :hi:
Dump them now. They probably spammed you with a phone call so that should tell you something from the start.

I just got a cold call from traffic power myself!!!
Very pushy, I told "ed" I do seo for a living, but he tried to push on, I finally had to hang up on him, he was still talking!

These jokers have called 4 different people at my company in the past couple weeks. I was the first one they called - it sounded fishy, so the first thing I did was come here and do a search on them. Ha! We've been enjoying blowing them off ever since. Thank goodness for this forum!

What do you mean? Are you defending Traffic Power? I said that because I know who and what kind of spammer traffic power is. There is no disputing that fact. It's well known they cold call every phone number they can find. That's spam. The techniques they use are spam according to every major search engine. Everything they do is spam.

until yesterday i don't think i'd heard of traffic-power so no, i'm not defending them.
my point is: how can you call 'cold calling' spam?
i think that's confusing.

Actually, when it comes to SEO, "yes" I call that spam. Any good SEO does not and would not cold call anyone. Can you imagine being put on that 'do not call' list and treated like a telemarketer spammer? :)

Welcome to the forums James! :hi:
Getting clients and doing good is the best way. Clients refer other clients. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising. Cold calling is waaaay down on the list. That's why there is a "do not call" list in the US. People who cold call are not allowed to call people who have requested Not to be called.
Face the facts; any so-called SEO who has to resort to cold calling businesses could not be very good at all. That is just like receiving spam email from a so-called seo. It's all the same thing.

huh? What does that have to do with anything? I would be doing that no matter what as I believe in honesty, trust, and personal attention. I'm not unlike the best SEO's out there, and of course, I put myself up as one of the best.
Why anyway? Are you one of those people who call to bust my chops? Those types call all the time.

cold calling business owners by phone is considered spam?Junk mail, junk email, junk phone calls ... it's all spam. All that varies is the level of offense it causes.
Email spam is probably the worst, as the recipient pays for it; junk mail hurts the planet, and junk phone calls are usually a waste of everyone's time - nine out of ten are misdirected, and the caller rarely knows anything off script.
Seems a pretty weird way of building a business - or a reputation.
