Hello everybody,

I am thinking about using some of those pay for inclusion search engines to get more traffic to my site.
I am using inktomi right now and it is working ok for me.

Could anybody tell me if Excite, Ask Jeeves, Lycos or any other pfi search engine is worth paying for inclusion?

Thanks,

The only place I've ever even considered (and am still considering) paying for inclusion is Yahoo.

With all the free opps available, unless they are a giant like Yahoo, I just can't cost justify any paid inclusion programs.

Paid Inclusion is a farse in many respects. Yahoo charges you for paid inclusion AND for each click, in most cases its better to wait for natural inclusion and pay for sponsored listings as paid inclusion doesn't guarantee you anything but spiders visiting your site and in todays competitive search market that is just part of doing business.

Basic SEO, a good site and constant marketing are your best bets :)
