Request Site Change at DMOZ

Recently I requested a site name and description change at DMOZ. Our site is listed three times in Open Source and one editor replied back that he would not make the changes requested -- and said he doubted the other editor would make any changes.

However yesterday I reviewed our listing again at DMOZ and see that my requested changes were made under the actual directory -- but the site name and description changes do not show up if I do a search on our site domain name.

If I search on contus.com -- the following search results display

Contus - Florida -- Travel planning services....

However if I click on the directory link and go to the actual directory where the site is listed -- I see the new site name and description for our web site. (Contus Vacation Packages - Offering cruise specials..

Can someone explain how this works? Will the listing eventually get updated to display the new site name when searching at Open Source? Does someone know what site name and description will be used by search engines such as Google, Lycos and Netscape?

hey Claudia, that is great! You are just fine. It takes awhile for the dmoz to update things. And yes, your new listing will eventually appear in aol, netscape, etc in the results.
