Says it all really :(

Serves up top 5 results and moves 'real' results down to below the scroll line.

Now we have to put up with the same thing as users in the US - but (as yet) there are no sponsored results on .com.

Yahoo is going down. Very sad.

Hmmm interesting. I wonder how long before they roll out similar paid listings to other regional directories? I must admit though, it kinda ****s not being able to see Overture listings in Australia, especially when local clients are paying for them and can't see how they look on Yahoo.com.

You can use www.the-cloak.com to see how things look in the US.

Please apply the caution that you should apply to all "translator" services.

Following Kalenas comments re Overture in Australia, I have tried to have a look around for information on exactly what benefits an Overture bidding/listing would be for specifically regional site, ie are there any Australian search engine partners. The Overture site lists three countries - US, UK and Germany on its' site - so any information or pointers would be a huge help.

:hi:
Thanks for the attention Doug, it can be all too easy at times to get caught up in the intricacies of search engine marketing in the western world, especially the USA, and not pay enough heed to the differences between, and even within, continents, countries and regions.
I find that I often have to read between the lines and do a lot of digging and searching to find out if general statements actually apply , in my particular case to Australia.
So I echo your appeal for information and in case you are curious as to my interest, I am associated with a site called totaltravel.com and can be contacted at jennie.holland@totaltravel.com with any info and/or constructive criticism.
