360i is all but bragging about their doorway pages they put up for clients. Would love to see one. So would some engines.

Bidding on keywords really does not effect search engine placement, the listing may appear as sponsored above other listings...but it really didn't optimize it above the other listings. The doorways may accomplish this, and this may be what they are implying by listing the doorways in Goto and submitting them to the search engines.

However, to really measure the magnitude, one would need to know total traffic numbers. An increase of 25% on 100 referrals/day would only result in an additional 25 referrals/day. But if they already had substantial traffic, an additional 25% would very impressive.

The article did not state whether the doorways are hosted on the client's servers or not, so again the question rises as to where the traffic and doorways will be once the partnership/contract is over.
