some real basic questions

hey, im launching my store in about 2 months and have a few questions about optimisation and search engine submissions. I am a complete beginner and have never ever dealt with search engines so if some questions sound stupid you know why.

My website:
Ive got this store based on X-cart shopping system. Im starting a fashion clothing, jewellery and accessories business. Ive approached some SEO companies and Ive had quotes from £2000 - £50,000 which I havent got so i figure i do it myself.

My questions:
How do I pick keywords? I approached a few SEO companies they turn around and ask what keywords i have in mind. I got this program where u type in a word and its gives similar strings - so basically how do i decide which to pick??

Xcart has a feature to convert catalogue pages to html, would this be more successful than leaving it as a page structured by code?

Do you sumbit every single page or just the main page? And how often should this be done? everyday, weekly, monthly etc?

Is it worth investing in software such as webposition ****?

Is there any things I shouldnt do when i start optimising and submitting my site? And is there anything I should do other than keywords and meta-tags?

And finally I launch in about 2 months when a good time to start submitting?

You need to actually read in here for about two straight months if you want to learn about how to optimize your site. All the questions have been answered numerous times in here.

First off... forget about submitting anything. It's not necessary. Only get into the "directories"

Next; this is not about any keywords tag. You have to target a couple of keyword phrases "per page".

Next, it's a lot about the "content" on your pages. You write about/around the phrases you are targeting on that page.

Next, you need quality links coming into your site. The directories give you some good links.
