Need help to promote Web Hosting Resource Site

I've just completed my very first website :

http://www.webhostingoffer.com

It is the site offers free webhosting services, such as hosting links, forums, news, expired domains etc.

I need help to promote the site, any advise/recommendation ?

Oh my. You are in a tough market. All I can say is read up in these forums to learn as much as you can about the search engines. Ask specific questions about what you read if you do not understand something.

I have a few clients who will use a PPC campaign at the start to get them going. Most will use www.overture.com . This way they can start getting visitors before they achieve good ranks in the search engines.

You should also get into the Zeal directory. An editor in here might help you out with that. Get into the ODP directory as it is free as well.

When you have the bucks, get into the Looksmart directory and the Yahoo directory.

Before any of that, optimize your site for the search engines. Have fun reading and ask questions! :)

you have a good domain to start with, thats a good foundation for SEO

I would now master wordtracker, go to http://www.wordtracker.com and take the free trial, then sign up. Spend ages mastering it and get a nice set of keywords / phrases. Then as Doug says read, read, read and you will get there.
