Yahoo are now portaling Northern Lights premium content for a charge from $1 - $4 per document or $4.95 per month for 50 documents.
My boss thinks this is great, because if Yahoo charge for searching, so can we. I had to remind him that Yahoo has more toilet cleaners than we do staff.

This charging for searching thing will not be successful in the long term. Searchers can find much of what northernlite has for free. I know some docs are not in the public domain and would require this but much is out there anyway.
Yahoo is searching for monies from anywhere they can. I don't fault them for this at all, just think some of the 'basics' have been lost along the way.

I really hope you're right Doug. First paying for inclusion, now paying for searching. This time next year Yahoo will be charging for oxygen used whilst using their search engine.

hey Great-1, did you have a nice vacation? Good to read you again!
The signature file uses vbcode instead of html. When you make a post, you can click on the vbcode link to view how to do what you wish to do. Or, view the faq to see.

Thanks Doug - It's good to be back. I've been snowed under since the Christmas break, so I'm just getting back into the swing of things.
Thanks for the advice about the signature - I'll sort that now.
