According to our ePilot statistics we have received 5,500 visitors to our domain name registration site in just one month. They have searched for terms such as 'domain registration', 'domain names' and 'domain' amongst others. When they click on our advert, they are sent to a page specifically for domain name registrations (cost of .com domain name = only $9). Not a single one of them has registered a domain name at the site we sent them to.

5,500 visitors from the other PPC search engines we use would have resulted in at least 100 registrations at the site.

Why would 5,500 people search for 'domain registration', then click on a link for 'Register Domain Names at AzamTel.com at Low Prices!' and then not one of them register a domain name?

We have had similarly poor results for all our listings.

The only reason I can think of is that the traffic is fraudulent.

How can a site which is listed about 16th in ePilot.com's results for "domain registration" receive 5,500 visitors in one month alone? Are there more searches at ePilot than Google and Yahoo combined?

I have spent hours researching the traffic we have paid for from ePilot and am not very impressed with the sites they partner with, nor their anti-fraud mechanisms.

What have other people's experiences been with ePilot?

epilot has always been a 3rd or 4th tier ppc engine. It don't surprise me one bit that they are still in that position.

Don't you remember they were one of the first partners with scumware a few years back? Oh yeah, ..... read the looooong thread in here about it. epilot was one of the first.

Something certainly looks fishy. I don't use any 2nd tier PPCs. Not because of anything that I suspected to be fraud. I have found the traffic did not convert. At least then has been my experience.

Here is the 125 page thread. ePilot is mentioned early on in it.

I think the new thing that we are seeing is the selling of links. If you are not a top-tier site, I just don't think PPC is worth it. I would recommend seeing where you can buy some links. The money will be much better spent.
