Hi all:
Just got five spam emails (unsolicited and identical) from a company which GUARANTEES 10 top listings for your keywords in major search engines lasting no less than sixty days for the low low price of only $1,495.

Ran a quick check of their rankings using a keyword phrase used extensively in their html ( title, six comments, keywords tag and top of first page) with results as followss:

Search Engine Rank Page URL

Fast not found within 50
Go not found within 50
DirectHit not found within 50
MSN not found within 50
Google not found within 50
HotBot not found within 50
Yahoo_Google not found within 50
Lycos not found within 50
Altavista not found within 50
Excite not found within 50
Northernlight not found within 50

I wonder if that explains why I can't seem to find the details of how to claim your money back?

OH! and by the way they are looking for SEO partners to outsource their overflow business to!

hehe,

I got the exact same email. Guess we know now why they resort to spamming.

Not sure when people/sites will grow up, if ever.

LOL!~ I didn't get that one...but would someone really use a product or service for which they received email spam advertisement?

Hi Junior:

I'm afraid that there are a goodly number of people out there that believe in P.T. Barnums maxim -

"Theres a ****er born every minute"

and have found that the web enables them to contact many of them from the comfort of their of their own home!

I adjusted it once. Seems like there might not be a balance between the two.

Well, s u c k e r would not be used very much.

Yes. Mel is right. And I'm of the opinion that these s u c k e r s are most of the reason why these types of unsolicited campaigns seem to proliferate.

Yeah, and the bad thing is though a sukker is born every minute...there seems to be a spammer born every half-minute!~
