Wow! I had no clue that sites were still trying to rank high (and apparently succeeding) for words that have nothing to do with their site. How 1995 of them!

and the kicker is, they probably go through a partner such as infospider, who could care less and lets in any and all sites. No checks attall. Pathetic.

I think what Doug is saying highman, is that InfoSpider is an SEO that is affiliated with AV and has "allegedly" sent spam email to clients of SEO's using the AV/InfoSpider inclusion service and may not use the most thorough of methods re checking submitted sites for spam. I'm not sure of AV's stance on spam URL's submitted for inclusion but will check it out.
Newriver- that spam is a :eek: er! You should report them, but if AV take as long to investigate spam as they do to refresh their index, then good luck!

Well, AV has finally dropped my site after not renewing my inclusion for their horrible results after a month.
These are some sweet search results alta vista, I can;t say I;ll miss you when your gone.

Ya see, I fail to see the logic in paying for 'inclusion' into anything? To have to keep paying for a url to keep it in the index is simply not right.

LOL!~ Ah, we were talking AltaVista right? Gone are the days of relevant results...they must run a close second to Overture. I have noticed more activity by Scooter recently...but the referral counts are still very low.
