Altered meta tags - are they automatically updated?

Hello all,

I've just modified the title, keywords and description meta tags on a website. Will the search engines and directories automatically update these next time they index the site, or do I need to resubmit?

I'm guessing they will probably update them next time they come to the site but I would just like to double check.

you are correct they will be picked on the next visit to that page.
