Hello All,
We have launched a new site that lists US Festivals - www.FestivalsandEvents.com
Our listings can be submitted free or opt to include more info for a fee.

We have a good base of southeast festivals as we have been listing this area of the country for 7 years and have a contact list.
We have about 5-600 listings but most states have no listings at this point. It takes a while to contact those interested in the whole country.

I want to submit to JoeAnt but surely do not want to get rejected and lose the fee.
So my question is this, any thoughts whether we have enough content to be accepted at this point?

Thanks for any and all comments.

I would say yes you do. But please don't take that has a certain. Only the editor who reviews can make the call. Read the guidelines carefully is about all I can say.

Your site looks very nice and has enough content to be listed in JoeAnt.com.

BTW. You an also become an editor for one of the main topics and then submit your site for free to JoeAnt.

Larry,

I like the idea for your site. One small suggestion though... Add some white space between listings and possibly make the event title in bold. The current listings are very hard on the eyes (even though there is some indentation).

Hello Bernard,
I appreciate your suggestion and I agree, but there is a method to my madness. That is where the bold and feature listings come in.

I tried to strike a balance between being useful to the visitors but also provide an incentive to upgrade to a paid (bold or feature) festival listing.

Nice looking site, Larry, and lots of good info, too. As soon as I have our submit form back up, you'll have to submit your link to our directory as well.

I have to ask you, what software did you use to create the polygonal regions for the U.S. map?

I found some software not long ago and it was the only one I could find that did polygonal area maps and the software was piggybacked with scumware. I've been looking for another program ever since.

Hi Deb
thanks for the comments and waiting for your submit to open.

The guy who did the image maps said he used Coffecup Image Map software
