Hi All,
I have been using WPG for reporting only for a number of years. Problem is most of my clients are Australian and as it doesn't cover international engines half my rankings are done by hand.
Anyway I've picked up some more clients and was looking at upgrading to the WPG professional so I could use the ASCII export. So it got me thinking about alternative software packages that support international SE's. have tried Top Dog (without much luck) before and have decided to give it another go (trial version). My first problem is it comes back saying there are no listings when my WPG reports from this morning have tons. I have tried e downloading the latest version but have same probs.
I have also just come across Agent Web Ranking and will try it. But in the meantime my question (after all this rambling) is what do those of you with international clients use and why?
Many, many thanks,
sanity - who's loosing hers with this problem :(

Thanks Doug :)
Well guys no one's replied so I'll tell you what I've found since my post. "I lurve Agent Web Ranking" :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
From what I've seen so far it is excellent. Plus great, fast support. My only prob is they don't support AU SE's but I emailed about this and Fabian replied ASAP asking me which ones I wanted and they'd add them. Slick interface, customisable etc etc. It really is good.
I am not associated with them but would recommend anyone try the program.
sanity - who's feeling a bit more sane after fnding this prog :D

Hi Sanity, sorry I came in late on this one.
As you know, I service a lot of Australian & NZ clients as well as US firms. What I've been doing to cope with the regional search engine issue is to provide 2 reports. One is a standard WPG ranking report covering the most important US engines and directories. The other is a TopDog report covering only AU (& NZ if relevant to the clients) engines.
I would use TopDog for the lot and create one report but I find them WAY too slow running if I search on more than 10 engines/search terms at a time. This seems to work well for the time being - perhaps you could do the same using your fav AgentWebRanking and TopDog?
Did AWR give you an approximate time frame till they added regional engines? (I think I sent you a list of AU/NZ ones didn't I?)

Hi kal :hi:
Thanks for your reply. I like your solution. My only prob is Top Dog does not work for me. I may have to try it again. So far I have been doing them by hand
Agent Web Ranking is apparently coming out at the end of the month with the AU's included. I don't think I've gotten a list from you but this is what I sent them:
Anzwers (http://www.anzwers.com.au)
AltaVista Australia (http://www.altavista.com.au)
GOeureka (http://www.goeureka.com.au)
ninemsn (http://search.ninemsn.com.au)
Excite Australia (http://www.excite.com.au)
LookSmart Australia (http://www.looksmart.com.au)
Yahoo! Australia (http://www.yahoo.com.au)
WebWombat (http://www.webwombat.com.au)
OzSearch (http://www.ozsearch.com.au)
If you know of any more let me know and I can email them. I'd be more than happy to tell them about the NZ ones if you like.
Cheers,
sanity

Agent Web Ranking are pretty good about adding stuff. They added the UK search for Hotbot after I emailed them. Said they would add it the next day and did. I must admit this is one of the things that I like about this product, the fact that there is a clear two way dialogue between the company and its users.

That's one of the things I've found too. Plus I really like the way it works and the interface.

Hi Sanity - support for any/all the Aust & NZ engines on this page (http://www.high-search-engine-ranking.com/List_of_Search_Engines.htm) would be fantastic.
