Is Inktomi a pay to get listed engine?

If not, does anyone know of a URL where a site can be submitted?

Thanks . . .

You can pay to get listed in Inktomi through Position Tech (http://www.positiontech.com) or if your site is listed elsewhere, most notably LookSmart (according to our own Dougie), Inktomi should eventually pick up your link.

I looked at LookSmart, and it appears that pating for a link is the only way to get listed there.

I do have the ability to submit to LookSmart through my Dynamic Submission 2000 (enterprise edition)

think using this program will get me in?

Thanks

Not a hope. They (L$) want your cash :)

Well , I guess LookSmart is out. I 'm just doing a site about Karaoke, so it's not going to pay to spend the money to get listed at any search engine that charges money.

If my customer wants to be listed there, he'll have to pay for that himself.

Well, my AustinSings site is number 2 when searching for Karaoke in Texas at Looksmart and I didn't pay a dime. I'm also finding out that I made a lot of mistakes in the past year with this site (such as monthly submission to 1000 different search engines, ffa kinks pages, ect). I also didn't have very many keywords on my entry page (it's a framed site), although I do have a bunch of targeted keywords in my meta tags.

My positioning must be due to a lack of competition for Karaoke sites, or my site is slightly better than most Karaoke sites based in Texas.
