Hi Buddies

:confused:

One of my site whichh was optimized most ethically as one can think of is getting problem with google.

Before its last indexing the site was getting quite good ranks in Google but after the last crawling whih was in the last of Feb my site has lost all his description and title and when i check for pages indexed i get only link to URL and similar pages link which on clicking goes nowhere.

I want to tell u this site doesnt contain any duplicate content, no hidden content, no redirects and not ne kind of spamming u can think of.

Plz help Me.

Without knowing the URL, there's really no way to tell;

1. how old is the site?

2. Has it changed much in the last few months

3. Do you use templates in your design?

4. Does the site have any pages that are 'machine generated' from a database or whatever, and are these the missing pages?

5. Does the site have small pages (ie just a few paragraghs, or image-heavy)

6. Does each page have META description and a unique TITLE?

7. Does the site use Flash or lots of javascript ...

8. Does the search term exist in the title or description of your site?

I could go on - even with all those answers, it would be very much a guess without knowing the URL ...

thankx for ur reply

The site is 2-3 years old and I started SEo on this site at about 2-3 months back and its PR got increased from 0 to 2 .

So the site has changed like changing keyword, description and other meta tags and a little bit of Keyword rich content.

Site is not having any type of machine generated pages and no database connectivity.

But it is having a general template followed in all of its pages. and the content on each page is is little and some of the apges are having images and small amount of content.

No Flash and little javascript is used.

and After SEo keywords are there in sites title and desciption.

i hope this info will help u in solving the problem for me.

If you have template pages with very little content, then Google may see them as duplicates. Remember Google sees the whole page; all the headers, footers, menus etc - look at the HTML code - if most pages are much the same, then that may be where your problem lies.

There are two possible solutions:

1. Add extra content to as many pages as you can

2. Merge pages - instead of separate blue widgets, green widgets and white widget pages, have one 'widgets' page.

Sorting this out is not only going to get you better listings in the search engines, it will help your human visitors too - people really aren't too keen on sites where they have to keep clicking to get just one more little bit of info - pages shouldn't be too big either ;)

Thankx for that reason im hereby providing to you with a image of what the general template of my site is and by how much content differs in the various parts of that template.

One more thing my site is completely indexed in yahoo and MSN .

if the case might be that of the duplicate content then these two would also hv discounted my site.

It's 3 possibilities:

It's a duplication problem.

It's not a duplication problem.

It's one of the 1000 other problems there can be with any given website.

Wat those 1000 problems can be if u can plz provide me with the list. So that i wont be behaving like u if someone asks me the similar problem im hving and may help them with the reasons and not just blindly ask them about the URL's.

Learn from Quadrille atleast he tried and gave me the reson of templates which might be the cause and may result in reindexing of my site and he just didnt asked me about the URL.

I think u can provide me with more valuable suggestion than quadrille which may result in sol of the problem.

Ask any query about my site and I will provide u with as much info as in my hands
whatevr factor u can think of whatevr point that may result in such problem and may this result oin the solution of the problem.
this time UR behaving like Dave behaved last time.

Ankush without seeing the problem we simply cannot diagnose the problem.

An analogy for you;

you are a vet.
I contact you and say my dog is loosing his coat, and fur is coming off in handfuls.
You ask "What kind of dog"

I reply; " Well it's got 4 legs, 2 eyes, a nose and a tail. What do you think is wrong with it?"

Your options are limited. You can;

Carry on and hope it resolves,
Read the many threads here on related problems try some solutions.
Tell your boss you have no idea how to fix the problem and need some expert advice.
