My wife and I decided to try and sell some more products on our website. I've spent the last month adding a whole bunch of new pages. Including more shipping options. The products come in later this week and I was going to move all of my new pages to www.mybirthcare.com.

Somewhere in this forum I read that the description tags should be different for each page and reflect the information on the page. I've done this but how long can the descriptions be? Also I tried not to repeat a word more than twice. Is this OK?

One last question. I took the Zeal test (thanks to this forum!) and then submitted one of my non-commercial pages. My page was added and now I'm on MSN (pregnancy due date calculator). I want to submit my new pages to Looksmart. Is there a difference between the Express Submit and the Basic Submit besides price and time?

Thanks

For your Meta description, you generally don't want to have more than about 200 as the search engines that use this tag will cut it off at about that point. It's no big deal if you go over that amount, but it won't look as good in the search engine results pages.

Make sure that your description depicts what's actually written on its page. It should reinforce the copy and utilize the same keyphrases already being utilized in your copy and your Title tag.

I'm sure Doug can speak better to the differences between LookSmart's $149 plan and their $299 plan. My guess is it's simply the time thang.

Good luck!

Jill is right, only difference is it takes a Full 8 weeks for the basic submit and 2 days for express.
