Greetings,
do someone know what happen in dmoz?
I am in charge of several french websites SEo, and today checkin my rankings it seems all these have been dropped from index...
I precise it was regular websites, there was no spam etc....?
any info?

yes strange...perhaps their algo has changed then as they have lost their rankings even if still there?
will it have an influence for SE using ODP? ie google etc?

I am going to give you a piece of advice,
"Never pay attention to rankings at dmoz.org"
They mean absolutely nothing to anybody, nobody searches there, their also is so basic it is ridiculous, and no other SE uses that algo in any way, shape, or form.
as long as you have a listing, and you like the title, description, and category you reside in, ignore DMOZ.
I don't think I have searched DMOZ in over a year....

Just wanted to add for people reading the title of this thread, the first thing you should do if you no longer see your listing in the Open Directory project is to check other relates categories. Sites do get moved around during re-org's.
Also check your server logs, was it down for an extended period of time? If so it may have been removed from an active listing because of it.
If the site has been up, and no other related categories show it listed, then it is time to worry.

well for my problem i am notthe only one, it seems that there was a problem at dmoz with french websites according to a french SEo discussion board
