Traffic from Looksmart ???

Just wanted to share with ya'll that my site (in profile) is #10 in Looksmart's search - for an extremely competetive word (gardening). I rank much better than my big-budget competetors (as I pat my own back), and just a few weeks ago I got bored while trying to locate my site and gave-up before I found it. I could not have done this without the help provided here, so, thanks a bunch!!

Which brings me to a question...Is Looksmart a popular, well used directory/search engine ? Trying to determine the benefits...

Now, if Looksmart's partners would only get on the ball...

oh, LS is only a database directory. No one really searches from there so referrals will be minimal.

Not many people search at Looksmart except maybe us checking our listings...However, the reason for submitting to Looksmart is to reap the rewards of MSN traffic.

I haven't checked any of your keywords but your site is appearing in MSN (I just searched for your company name)...

To get more exposure in MSN through Looksmart/Zeal, you can try submitting informational pages to Zeal to get more pages of your site listed without spending more money.

Yes. and it will be extremely tough to rank on the word in MSN. I just checked and could not find you for that term but MSN might have just added it to the database.
