Minimum bid over a dollar for popular terms?

Thought we'd try out Ask Jeeves PPC as it says minimum bid is 5 cents. But it's not the minimum for popular terms. The interface says our sites will not even listed under certain search terms e.g. "long distant calls" unless we bid $1.50 etc.

Doesn't make it worth using Ask Jeeves PPC unless you have a large budget or are willing to target thousands of unpopular terms.

Don't know. Does anyone ever get visitors from Ask? I don't think many search there, so not sure why a ppc thing would be worth the hassle anyway.
