If you really want to learn more about php, just try looking first at the php manual, look for topics, issues that you may not be very knowledgeable about but already familiar with i. e. variable references, superglobals, etc. Then, go to forums. ask for help, advice. then use search engines. you'll get a lot of webpages about PHP.
I am not really an expert as I am also a newbie in PHP but I just follow advice from the experts. I hope that you do it too!
