I talked to a slick saleswoman at 1P.com for about 45 minutes. Long enough to get what new twist they were pulling out of their black hat.

They have hundreds of sites of doorways pages, but they rotate their interlinking many times a day! So at any given time you have a variety of 100 links, but not from the same 100 pages.

Sounds like a pretty futile exercise to me.

I suspect it's a bunch of BS, as I cannot see that it would actually do anything to meet their aims.

If we work on the basis that it's their usual misinformation, the challenge is to deduce what they are really doing :)

what a weird setup.
in the long term, if they have enough 'knowledge' why don't they simply just play by the books? *shakes head*
lazy or don't know how to sell honest SEO.

Amazing stuff.

They hire people off the street and train them how they think things should be. The problem is, they don't have anyone who knows anything to begin with, and think they have to do tricks to succeed. They also don't know how to design sites, so they are left trying to manipulate and trick the search engines. And yes, 1p is traffic power in case anyone did not know. :)
